catching up
well, i slacked off for a while, and managed to gain back 3 pounds in the last week. considering i had too much (including a chocolate bunny) on easter, and my boyfriend made an evil chocolate cake, it could be worse.
i saw my doctor. i got my medications adjusted, and they're working great. i was taken off of blood pressure meds because my blood pressure responded so well to my weight loss. :D he thinks the fainting spells were vasovagal attacks. not really much to be done about it really. just need to worry if they happen too frequently. probably has to do with my surgery last year, and the vagus nerve being messed with/injured, and will hopefully not be an issue as long term healing takes place, and being off the blood pressure meds will decrease their likelihood.
i've had so much more energy since a new medication was added. it's like night and day. i've gotten my sewing room picked up, straighted up the hall closet, got (and even more importantly have kept) some patches in the kitchen clean to my standards. i'm slowly working on the rest of the apartment, and feel very good about my progress, instead of overwhelmed like before.
oh, and i did try that porridge idea. it was really good. :D
things are going great, i'm happier and more productive than i ever have been in my life. i hope things continue to go this way. :)

weekly weigh in: -5!
i'm feeling completely recovered after the fainting incident. just needed a few days of taking it easy.
well, i got a great surprise when i weighed in today. :D not only am i at my lowest weight ever, but i lost exactly 5 pounds in the last week!
i have my menus planned out to the letter, but i don't always follow them that closely... but even when i make substitutions or go a little off, i do my best to stick to my points. seems it's been working. i need to be careful about slacking, though, and still need to keep a close eye on points. i need to learn to stay flexible, but also to stay on track. :)
i've also decided to do my best to incorporate 3 tablespoons of flax seed into my diet every day. it's supposed to be good at regulating hormones and beneficial for those with PCOS. i also want to incorporate wheat germ which is also all around healthy.
my boyfriend has started experimenting with trying to make me healthy bread with both in them. <3
we got an electronic coffee grinder so we can grind the flax seed (the more freshly ground it is, the more healthy stuff is in it). we've also had fun grinding up other stuff. we got some wheat berries to see if we can make fresh wholewheat flour, and for me to use to make porridge. we also ground up some millet, and some other stuff, just to see what it does. lol. i'm saving all the ground grain bits in a cleaned out yogurt container, and i'm going to use it to add to the wheat berries to make a homemade hot breakfast cereal. should be interesting and fun (and hopefully tasty. :D).

daily thought - peanut butter beatle doodle
(if you say it realy fast, it sounds funny... yeah, i know i'm weird. lol)
i'm feeling quite a bit better today. still feel a little woozy if i move my head too fast, and a little bit of a headache this evening, but besides that i'm doing ok. even got in a 20 minute pilates work out before dinner.
i made myself some interesting breakfast sausage this morning... we got some sausage from AFM that's just terrible...leaves a puddle of grease when you cook it. >.< my boyfriend tried making bread from scratch. he wants to start experimenting with different kinds and seeing if he can make it cheeper and/or healthyer than storebought. his first loaf tasted *wonderful*. wasn't helthyer, at 3 points per slice, but omg, it tasted great. :D the crust was chewy without being tough, and it had a hint of sweetness that reminded me of potato bread... and omg, there's nothing like the smell of bread fresh from the oven. :D i've been craving dill pickles again lately. ::shrugs::
what i ate today:
breakfast sausage sandwich - 7
8 oz cranberry juice mixed with 8 oz diet sierra mist - 3
leftover country fried steak on bread - 8
several dill pickle spears - 0
2/3 cup of rice - 2
slimfast - 2
2 stuffed cabbage rolls - 10
green beans with margarine - 1
more dill pickles - 0
homemade bread with margerine - 4
total points - 37
weekly points left - 23

weigh in: -1.6
i passed out for the second time this year... i had also passed out on feb. 1st. i have a doctor's apointement on the 10th, so i'm going to talk to him about it then... i thought it was a one time thing the first time, but then it happened again. >.<
because of the fainting i felt sick all day, and didn't stick to my diet at all. i was really nauseous most of the day and could only stomach certain things. i guess i can give myself a break. it's not like it was laziness, it was a genuine medical reason. on the upside, at least i did a couple of loads of dishes before bed and i've lost 1.6 pounds in the last two weeks. :)
what i ate today:
cupcake - 3
instant teriyaki noodles - 14
2 apples - 2
1 cup cranberry juice - 3
2 cupcakes - 6
country fried steak - 7
2 slices of bread - 1
french fries - 5
corn with margarine - 2
total points - 45
total weekly points left - 25
